I set out in June of 2021 to work with some local vendors and put together a fun weeknight photoshoot. I wanted to create something simple, intimate, and fun to really prove that an elopement can be anything! It can be an evening of snacks and vows and dancing in the desert. It can be a simple hike ending in private sunset views.

They’re both smart, kind, and hilarious. Their day was filled with giggles, champagne, and happy tears. We started at their wedding venue, Mt. Bachelor Village in Bend, Oregon. They picked the coolest little spot for a first look, where the wedding party had a view from the balcony.

It was so refreshing to drop the expectations a little bit and mix it up, and naturally, Cecily and Gio picked out the perfect outfits for an easy, natural, desert photoshoot. We drank beers, lit some joints, ran around in the dirt, and jammed out to some good tunes.
