Eliza + Brad | Oregon Film Elopement

On a weekday evening in the summer of 2021, I shot my very first all-film elopement.

I was commissioned to co-shoot with my dear friend Andreia Claro so she could shoot digital and I could focus solely on film, and we had a freaking blast. We met up with Eliza and Brad at a sweet little cabin in Government Camp and hung out while they got ready and the family arrived. After snapping a couple of “getting ready” shots, we headed out to Trillium Lake.

At Trillium, Eliza and Brad had a quiet first look alongside the lake. The family gathered on the dock and set up a little table with a custom cake by Alchemy desserts and some vintage glassware for champagne. We had a sweet ceremony under the shadow of Mt. Hood, and afterward, we celebrated the newlyweds with a toast.

The four of us wandered the park for photos, snapping away in the fading light, and as the evening closed, the happy couple and their family all went back to the cabin to party. Shooting entirely film was such a unique and fun experience, and I’m so thankful for Andreia, Eliza, and Brad for trusting me to make some analog magic.
