Ariel + Elle | Bend Oregon Sunrise Engagement Session

I’ve known Ariel for so long that I genuinely don’t remember when we met (that’s kinda what happens when you spend most of your life in a small town) so when she contacted me to photograph her and her partner Elle for their anniversary last year, I was thrilled. Ariel wanted to surprise Elle with a photoshoot as a gift so I nonchalantly showed up at the park where they were having coffee and it was a perfect. Elle was totally surprised and we had way too much fun goofing around together.

Fast forward a few weeks and Elle popped the question! So what happens next?! Another photo session obviously. But once again, Ariel had a surprise up her sleeve. We planned to meet up at one of my favorite locations in Bend for sunrise and Ariel was going to surprise Elle with a beautiful pair of matching custom rings! As we started sneakily planning, we decided it was gonna be proposal style. So halfway through the shoot, I had them face opposite directions and when I told them to turn around, Ariel busted out the rings on one knee. It was amazing and we even got some tears from Elle! I’m so happy for them both.
